What Does God Require?

  • Soft answers that turn away wrath, to be as smart as snakes but gentle as doves. (Prov. 15:1, Matthew 10:16)
  • To be wise children giving honer to those that bore us. (And Him who bore our sins.) (Prov. 15:20)
  • To be hospitable to each other without grumbling, but out of a ‘want to’ a ‘heart to.’ (1 Peter 1 4:8)
  • Having fervent love for all people even those that hate us because we love them and serve the God of Justice, Love, Holiness, and Mercy.  (1 Peter 4:8-9)
  • To be serious and watchful in our prayers that never stop. (1 Peter 4:7)
  • To listen first and give an answer in due season, having God keep watch over the door of our lips. (Asking God to do this pleases Him.)  (Psalm 141:3)
  • To not ‘willfully forget’ (2 Peter 3:5) that by the Word of God the heavens were of old that the earth was established by God.
  • To remember that the Lord is not slack concerning His promise, (2 Peter 3:9) but Jesus is long-suffering to us, not willing that one of us should perish (hell in the after) but that all should come to repentance.
  • God desires faithfulness and loyalty above sacrifice.
  • He wants us to know Him, to give him the sacrifice of our time no matter what is going on. (Hosea 6:6)
  • For:
  • ‘He has shown you O Man what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? But to do justly, love mercy (loving- kindness) and walk humbly with your God.  (Micah 6:8)
